The Latest CeCe Release: How CEFALY Built a Better Migraine App

What’s the number-one rule for building a migraine app?

Listen to the patients who use it.

That’s what CEFALY Technology did with the newest version of the CeCe Migraine Management app. The development team analyzed every review and piece of feedback. They fixed commonly reported issues and added the features users asked for. Then, our volunteer user testing group tried CeCe for themselves, helping us identify any bugs or things to streamline.

The result: a powerful, free migraine app that helps patients easily control CEFALY Connected and adhere to their treatment and prevention routine, so they can feel better and reclaim their lives from migraine pain. And we’re not done yet! The CeCe migraine app team is working to add more features from users’ wish lists in the near future.

Download the CeCe app now

*If you have an older version of the CeCe app, delete that version from your mobile device before downloading the new one. Your personal data will be saved.

¿Qué es la aplicación CeCe para el control de la migraña?

Available for iOS and Android, the CeCe app pairs with CEFALY Connected—the bestselling migraine treatment device—to empower patients to control and optimize their neuromodulation treatments.

You don't need to buy CEFALY Connected to use CeCe. You can also use it on its own, as a migraine journal app.  We've worked hard to make it the best migraine tracker app available, with fast, intuitive logging of attacks, symptoms, and treatments. Download reports to share with your healthcare provider that show your individual migraine patterns and trends.

What’s new in the CeCe app

The latest version of CeCe (version 4.4) includes:

  • Reliable Bluetooth connectivity: Enhanced stability ensures uninterrupted treatment sessions—at home or on the go.
  • Streamlined account access: Patients can now log in or create a secure account using their Google account or Apple ID.
  • Guided onboarding tours: A step-by-step introduction helps new users get comfortable and confident from day one.
  • Engaging notifications: Updated reminders and progress celebrations keep patients motivated in their migraine prevention journey.

How CeCe has evolved—with the help of our users

  • 2021: CeCe was launched as a migraine diary app: a simple, intuitive way for users to track their triggers, symptoms, and treatments.
  • 2022: CeCe was updated to securely pair with the Bluetooth-enabled CEFALY Connected device, allowing patients to track treatment sessions in real time.
  • 2024: The CeCe app added two-way communication with CEFALY Connected for full control of the device. Patients could use CeCe to select, start, stop, and adjust the stimulation intensity during their CEFALY treatments.
  • 2025: Multiple updates, including the most recent release, made CeCe easier to use and added features users requested, such as dark mode and PIN saving for quicker pairing.

Why use a tracking app for migraine?

Migraine is a complex disorder with a lot of variation among patients. That’s why it’s so important to work with your doctor on an individualized migraine treatment plan. Keeping a migraine diary can help guide this process by shining a light on your unique patterns, warning signs, and triggers.

Migraine can be influenced by things like stress, diet, sleep habits, or even changes in weather. Without tracking, it's hard to pinpoint what's making them worse. By keeping a record of when migraine attacks happen, how long they last, and what symptoms you experience, you can start to see connections that might not be obvious day-to-day. This information also helps your doctor get a clearer picture of what's going on and helps them recommend more effective treatments.

Another big reason to use a migraine log app: It empowers you to take control of your health. When you have data about your migraine patterns, you can make informed decisions, like adjusting your lifestyle or avoiding certain triggers. It also helps you measure whether treatments or medications are actually working over time. Without tracking, it's easy to forget details or underestimate how often you experience migraine, which can lead to frustration and slower progress. In short, tracking turns something that feels unpredictable into something you can manage.
